Thank you Bob for your vigilance and your love for the land in your home state, and I know your love goes well beyond your homeland. We are all connected and what we do to the land we do to ourselves. No one wins in a war and what Enbridge is doing is a war on the Sacred Waters of the Great Lakes and the surrounding watershed as well as war against all life in that area. Water is Life. Water is sacred until it is desecrated by greed and the short sightedness of we humans who think we can do better than the Mother herself.
This entire process has been heartbreaking and absurd Dave. It seems every well-meaning activist with any true influence gets sucked into some diversionary tactic largely instigated by those with extreme wealth or the hope for it and an ignominious commitment to their bizarre blindness related to the outcomes of their actions... an utter impotence to do what must be done. I was out on the water today... in a quiet little spot full of birds, amazingly clear waters, turtles, frogs, and water lillies. I am forever grateful at the same time I am terrified that we will lose these places.... Thanks for reading Dave. We must, at least, continue to watch and report.
